The June 5 - 9 (2008) Annual Conference

We are in the final planning stages and ready to accept volunteers for help.  If you've got e-mail, live in the Seattle area, or in eastern WA from Moses Lake south, we can use your help for projects big and small.  There will also be ways to help in Walla Walla at the conference.  If you can help us for two to four hours, or for two to four weeks (not necessarily contiguous, please contact Patricia.

Staff the WOS Table at Birding Festivals and Fairs

This is an enjoyable service that only requires a few hours and puts you right into fun and educational bird activities across the state. A love of birds and WOS, plus a willingness to answer questions or find a resource for people’s questions over two-four hour time slots are all that is required.  Partners can ‘spell’ each other and we can take several teams per day at the Othello Sandhill Crane Festival, and other birding festivals and fairs across the state (Grays Harbor, Leavenworth, etc).  It can be surprising who you will meet and what great local birding you find out about while working the WOS booth.  Please contact Patricia Lott.
