Review List

Compiled through Spring 2009

by the Washington Bird Records Committee

Written reports of any observations of these species, or of species not on the Checklist of Washington Birds, should be submitted together with supporting evidence by email, by using the Report Form, or by writing to:

The Review List consists of birds with 20 or fewer records during the previous 10-year period. It includes single-person sight records which the Committee believes are valid, as well as four species that have been recorded historically in Washington, but that have not been documented in the state for over 50 years (date of most recent record in parentheses). Also included at the end are subspecies and morphs that are sufficiently rare to meet the same standards as full species and are reliably identifiable in the field.
