2006 WOS Conference, Republic, WA, June 16-19
Photo Gallery

A cooperative family of Great Gray Owls near Havillah, Okanogan, was a highlight of the conference for many.  Marv Breece caught them posing on June 19, 2006. Bart Whelton's hard work in organizing the Republic Conference earned the reward of some quality time with the Great Grays (next 3 photos).  Here a male stands guard, June 18.
Here Bart caught the delivery of a tasty morsel for the young one, June 19th. Shortly thereafter, adult and young pose perfectly.
Bart Whelton's photo of an American Three-toed Woodpecker at a nest shows the distinctive pattern of white spots on the back.
