Our 24th Annual Conference will be based in Spokane, and will be held June 8-11,
2012. The Red Lion River Inn will serve as our host for the four-day conference.
Spokane was chosen for its diverse array of habitats and access into many areas
not often explored by much of our membership.

The Board has also decided to make the transition to an online registration system with this conference. The paper-based system we have used in the past is still an option, but members are encouraged to use the online system to get faster response on their field trip choices and registration confirmation. The hope is that this new system will ease the burden of both our members and the conference registrar.

Spokane and eastern Washington are blessed with a list of leaders who not only are highly skilled at bird identification, but are also familiar with the field trip locations for this conference. The Conference Committee has tapped into this wealth of knowledge and arranged many excellent leaders to accompany participants on their field trips.

The evening speakers will give members some insights into biology of grouse and woodpeckers of the area.

Read through the sections on lodging, field trips, evening events, and registration to prepare yourself for an exciting June 2012 in Spokane, then come explore this wonderful side ofWashington!
